Great portable periscope.
My periscope was marketed as the Sportscope and sold by opticsplanet. This is the same item and product. This was used during a military deployment and allowed for viewing over rock walls and barriers. The black color needed toned down but the item was well built, and the prisms and glass components provided a very sharp image. Mine was shipped well padded and arrived with no damage. I did add an IR illuminator near the top portion. This allowed use with night vision gear pressed up to the eyepiece. My only reason for a 4 out of 5 stars is that this should have a threaded or coupler type of eyepiece for use with cameras and night vision. A top that can rotate would be nice too. This was sold as a golf tool, but can be used for other uses as well. There is also a version called the SWATScope for law enforcement also. Poor design
The scope arrived on time from the seller and it was as described. It comes with a zippered carry case which also serves to protect it to some degree. The scope is functional, but not very rugged in construction. The sliding arm and the mirror piece is weak and care should be given when extending it or storing it to protect it from damage. The mirror piece came off on mine and is held in place by two small screws that stripped out. I will fix it with adhesive. The lense focuses fine and it works other than that though. Some of the story is based on true-life events, some of the characters in it actually exist and most of the jokes are made up on the spot. I assume you mean the closed bolt gun since "running the bolt" on an open bolt gun can force the weapon to fire since its "ready" when the bolt is pulled back and open (which confuses people unaccustomed to open bolt guns). When talking about using an UZI in the way you guys are using it are you suggesting a SBR *closed* bolt UZI or the real SMG open bolt UZI. Regardless they are both excellent HD weapons, though the open bolt UZI would require a bit more specialized training to operate safely. Give it a nice trigger, and two sets of sights side-by-side -- express sights for fast work and fine sights regulated for long distance.
